There are very few birds that can compete with Navrang in color variation.  Its colors are green, blue, black, white, brown and vermilion, and how bright and dark they are.  Looking at all these colors, his name like Navrang seems meaningful.  Seeing it up close is a privilege and a delight to the eye.  Navrang is a true bird of India, but for us, it is a migrant coming from outside.  Comes in the middle of summer. Monsoon is spent here, chicks are raised, then in September-October it goes to South India.  The time when most of our migratory birds start coming is the time to leave here for Navrang like Khadmor and Chatak

The colorful body is chubby, the tail is short, but the legs are long, the leaves under the trees and the undergrowth revolve around the ground.  And overturns the leaves to catch the insects below.  Not considered particularly shy.  Sit quietly a little farther away and observe it, it does not fly away in panic.  When disturbed, go and sit on a tree branch.  There is no other bird in Gujarat that can match it, so once it catches the eye, experts can recognize it immediately.  The habit of raising and lowering the short tail while moving.  Navrang is usually found in single dokal.  Grounded by nature and a little quarrelsome, appearing in pairs during breeding.

Navrang's head is large and brown, with a black stripe between it, a black stripe also protrudes from the eyes, white eyebrows, back green, pale blue, tail black, pale blue at the ends, wings blackish green and a white patch that flies  Appears clear.  Green and blue above the shoulders.  Beard and throat whitening.  Petal beautiful brown.  Curly crimson color between the two legs to the tail, strong beak and light orange-brown, legs long and brown, tail very short.  Males - females alike.  Its habitat in shallow forests and bushy farmland.
