Motted Wood Owl

 Motted Wood Owl

Size: 48

In our big owls, the forest owl looks more like Bhatigal.  It does not have feather-like feathers on the side of its forehead, it is considered a sign of its identity.  On the upper body, there is a beautiful and sleek pattern of reddish, black, white and light brown curls and dots.  Face whitening.  Plenty of circular markings in it.  Sore throat brown and black.  The head is white.  Lease.  Petal blonde, light brown and black.  Overall gray and light golden brown in appearance.  The wings have been shown solely to give a sense of proportion Feathers brown and brown.  Eye brown - black, beak black.  Males - females alike.  When it gets dark, he goes hunting for pet worship.  The time of its activity at night.  Stomach, birds, crabs, caterpillars, large insects its food.

Overall a jungle bird.  Occurs in Gir in Saurashtra and in other forests of Gujarat.  The sound I U-U-U-A.  Sounds scary when heard in the jungle at night.  Apart from this he also gives a shrill scream.

Owls see nothing during the day.  There is a popular belief that one can burn only in the darkness of night.  But not really.  So much so that owls, being nocturnal birds, can hunt in the dark of night and rest all day in the foliage of large trees, in the crevices of hills or cliffs, and can fly comfortably even during the day when needed.  Some may even go hunting on a blue day.

Breeding season November to April.  Nests in the hollows of trees.  Permanent resident.  A small number.
