NIGHT HERON
Size:55-65 cm
Nocturnal in nature, smaller in size than the previous two. Body plumper than them, upper body color greenish black, forehead white. White line above the eye. Head and neck black. In the monsoon, two white soft long feathers appear on the head. Petal white, wing gray. Males - females alike. The cubs are brown and have yellowish lines in them. The whole day rests peacefully while sitting on the dock shrinking in the deciduous trees. As the evening dawns, Avaku flies towards the reservoirs. He worships there all night and returns to his place in the morning.
