How to estimate population of heron bird?
Size :90-100 cm
is a little more colorful than the others in our dwarf herons. The body is predominantly white. Greenish black stripes on the wing. Black belt on the chest. The tail is black but it looks nice pink in the monsoon when the pink feathers of the wing spread over it. The skin of the face is orange. Long strong beak orange - yellow and slightly curved at the ends, legs pale pink or reddish. Males - females alike. The chicks are light brown. They do not have a chest strap.
