Ashy wren-warbler
There is very little difference in appearance or color between different species of birds named "Fulki, Fadak or Tiktik" in English (Wolfer) and Gujarati. This makes them difficult to identify. Smaller in size or rarely slightly larger in size. Phadak fulki is one of the two or three species that are relatively easy to identify. Males resemble females. Dark gray on head, neck and back. The wings have been shown solely to give a sense of proportion. Chest pale saffron. Tail long and ascending feathers, light brown in color. Beak thin, long and curved. Feet fair pink.
Grass beads, river banks or open thorns, reservoir chias, field sheds and fence shrubs, cherry bushes - all these are his habitats. If there are small and big plants or trees in the bean, it should also come in it. In short, hiding places are its main need. You have to stay in such places to find it. Alone or in a hurry. Its food is insects, their eggs and caterpillars, spiders etc. Also fond of drinking flower juice. When the flowers come to Shimla and Panderwa, they reach there to taste it. The long tail wagging around. Not particularly shy by nature.
T, T, T that squeaking sound. Speaking in search of food in the bushes. Salt cows during the breeding season, singing relatively slightly loud and upbeat. Sing while sitting on top of trees, shrubs or fences. Its presence is detected earlier by ear than by eye.
