Meerkats

 Meerkats

In South Africa there are animals called meerkats.  Cat-sized and squirrel-like in appearance and manners Animals are really fun to watch.  Their offspring have to be poisoned to survive in this miserable world.  For the first two months after birth, females protect and nurse their young.  But at the end of two months, the chicks have to learn to hunt and eat on their own.  It starts with scorpion eating.  The venom of a scorpion sting is very painful.  Cubs have to learn to hunt scorpions by enduring stings.  Then you have to learn how to eat the rest of the scorpion by removing the sting-poisoned part from it.
