When we hear the name penguin, we start imagining small black and white creatures in our minds. In fact these creatures also come in many shapes and colors. Now let's talk about the penguins with the bouquet, they have a green crown-like bouquet on their head. A penguin is a creature that cannot fly despite being a bird. But it can easily swim in the ocean. They can only swim forward in the sea they can’t swim backwards anyway.  Penguin Can swim in water up to a depth of 200 feet.  They can hold their breath in the water for about twenty minutes as well as jump up to six feet out of the water.  The penguin is a carnivorous bird.  Their main food is small fish and shrimp(10). They also feed on small aquatic creatures. Penguins drink the salt water of the sea.


There are about seventeen different species of penguins, nine of which are found in Antarctica. They are also found along the coasts of South America and South Africa. Thus, penguins are mostly found in icy areas. Penguins have black and white hair on their bodies. Their body is made up of three layers of air, skin and fat. The wings have been shown solely to give a sense of proportion (1). Penguins spend half their lives on icy land and half their lives in seawater. The largest species of penguin is the Emperor Penguin(2). Their height is sixteen inches and their weight is around thirty five kilos. As well as the smallest size of the Little Blue Penguin is about twelve inches. Penguins walk with the help of their legs and with the help of their stomachs they fall into the ice. Penguin lays an egg-laying species Is. They are a species found mainly in the Southern Hemisphere. The group of penguins is called "Fukari".


Penguins usually live in groups to keep the body warm. During the breeding season, a male and a female mate and remain together until the end. Male penguins are ready to breed at the age of five and female penguins at the age of four. The female penguin lays one or two eggs at a time (1). In the cold area the male penguin keeps Ida warm by covering her legs and abdomen. When the chicks come out of the eggs they start chirping so that their parents recognize them by their voices. Their lifespan is fifteen to twenty years. Currently, however, the number of penguins is declining alarmingly.
